Problem
How to view SQL generated by Analysis Studio
   
Cause    
SQL cannot be viewed since Analysis Studio generates MDX.  To capture this, set a UDA trace (Universal Data Access) or trace Analysis Studio itself.

Solution
Steps:
1. Open logconsole.exe from the <install_location>\c8\bin directory.  For example: C:\Program Files\cognos\c8\bin
2. Double Click logconsole.exe
3. Select components UDA
4. Check the option SQL API box
5. The dispatcher have to be restarted to activate the trace. You can use the restart button in logconsole application or restart the IBM Cognos 8 service completly.

For Analysis Studio:
1. Select components Analysis Studio
2. Check option 'Trace'
3. Restart the dispatcher using the 'restart' button in logconsole or restart the IBM Cognos 8 service completly.
