Check the cmplst.txt for the versioning of Reportnet and Cognos 8 components. On each machine you have installed a CRN or C8 component, (i.e. Dispatcher, Gateway, Content Manager or Framework Manager) you will find this file in the CRN or Cognos 8 installation folder.
The cmplst.txt will give you the build number for each component installed on that machine. You will find this under the [Product Information] heading.
If there is a hotsite version of a component installed you will see this indicated under the [Product Update Information] section.
If you have installed a hotsite you can check the history.txt as well and this will give you a list of build numbers and fixes that hotsite includes.
You can also view other products installed on the machine under the [Third Party] section. Here you can find useful information like the version of Java, SOAP and Tomcat.
